i'm too old for this vid to find this specific vid nostalgic, but i love the idea of this subtle, relaxing nostalgia fuel. it makes me want to try and make some of my own?

what would your scenes be like?

mine would be: journaling/doodling late at night while i listen to Art Bell on the radio during a thunderstorm, rp-ing on lotr forums while listening to loreena mckennit, sneaking downstairs at night to watch cowboy bebop on adult swim after everyone else had gone to sleep.

when i was little, i had a digital alarm clock then when you held down the snooze button, would produce an orange glowing light. at a close range this proved to work well as a flashlight.

i'd use this clock to read chapter books and archie comics when i was supposed to be asleep.

Playing minecraft hunger games in the evenings with my buds would be a big one. In the summer we'd spend the afternoon at the pool then run home to play once it started to get dark. I'd convince my mom to let me skip dinner so we could keep playing. The server we played on was cool in that you could go way out into the map (like thousands of blocks) and were only pushed back in after a while. You could build floating bases and stuff and defend them, it was really fun.

Also my first year of college I was really depressed and would spend the nights hiding in a corner of the library reading and texting my high school friends. Kind of weird to be nostalgic about it since I was pretty unhappy, but I guess you forget that with time.

aw, i like these. i have similar college memories of finding the most isolated corners of the library stacks to do work in, all night long. it was lonely and sort of spooky, but it also inspired me somehow. i never want to pull another all-nighter in my life, but you're right, somehow those memories are still nostalgic.

The comfiest scenes of nostalgia fuel for me would be late night grinding on Guild Wars back in, I guess it would've been middle school. During summer days my room would be far too hot without AC, so I'd only be able to play once night came around, and if it was raining the atmosphere would be even better, with the cold breeze and smell of rain refreshing my room; pretty similar to OP's vid.
I feel like I can never re experience that feeling unfortunately, the closest I can get is mid-spring late nights spent studying and listening to music.

Sitting on my old PC finding random websites to come across as well as various anime forums and geocities all the while watching late night anime on TV in the early 2000s.
