This song has always made me feel like there's something more to life as if there's something bigger waiting for us after death. And yet I don't believe in that stuff and think life is meaningless, this song still makes me feel this way for some reason I can't identify. Any ideas? Also post similar music

How come we don't have a thread dedicated to The Caretaker/Leyland Kirby? I feel like it would really fit on this website.

I started work at different shift at my radio station, and now I'd doing a shift that's entirely country, blues and Americana. It's really really fun, I get to listen to a lot of cool music and it makes me feel very American.
Usually at the student station I do a hardcore techno hour and a vaporwave hour, so it's really nice to disrupt that mental headspace with some Eric Clapton or Blind Willie Johnson

Can we talk about audio that hits different? Can be music or not music. Just recently listened to all six hours of Everywhere at the End of Time, an album dedicated to the various stages of Alzheimer's/dementia. Absolutely ruthless and heartbreaking.

Vio-lence hasn't recorded anything in over 20 years and we were promised an EP with 5 original songs next year. But instead of revealing any original music, they just put out a cover of the Dead Kennedys. I was excepting cooler stuff.

What do you listen to you on your morning/night commute?
When I'm at work I tend to listen to calm, serene things that help me concentrate.
On the way though, I listen to mathcore, happy hardcore, and trash metal to hype me up and help me get awake.
The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza is coffee for yer ears.

let's talk about jazz.
these days i mostly listen to '60s avant-garde & spiritual jazz, but i just started reading "Footprints", the biography on Wayne Shorter, and I've been rediscovering his discography while I read through it. He's quickly becoming one of my favorite personalities in jazz.

Hey everyone!
I just recently started putting the final touches on my debut album as Duckfoot.
I describe Duckfoot as the brain child of Devo, Beck, Mr Bungle and The Butthole Surfers, but maybe if that brain child grew up listening to Rammstein.
I call the genre Futurewave for a bunch of reasons.
Anyway, here's the album! I hope you enjoy :)

What are some good, long songs? I know I enjoy spacing out to songs that build and progress over a long time while I'm working. Whether it's an album with seamless transitions or just a long-ass song, I want to hear what your favorites are.
I feel like the 3 minutes and change for a track and then on to a brand new song can get a bit jarring and distracting sometimes
I know Pink Floyd and King Crimson are good bands for that, and I like X Japan's 'Art of Life' and Dire Straits 'Telegraph Road' as other examples of longer songs I like

Anyone here listen to a musicial called Dreamcrusher? Considering this is dreamchan I figured that it'd be fair to share them but theyre not very sleepy or calm. They're a noise musician who sounds just as agressive as their name suggests. I've fallen in love with their music tho and I emotionally require everyone to give it a listen at some point

I assume anons that would come to this site must like ambience in music, too? Nothing beats shutting your eyes and getting lost in ethereal soundscapes, and temporarily escaping from the world into a place where time doesn't exist.

Just sharing my works, I don't really care for feedback or anything.
General sharing music you make thread I guess?

it's like being in the passenger seat of a car with heavy eyelids, nothing other than the small clicks and clacks of the suspension and the occasional whir of another car passing you in the opposite lane.. the windshield wipers wiping just a little too slow, just slow enough to see the rain blur the distant traffic lights every other moment.. the ticking of the blinker falls in sync with the radio every few seconds, almost hypnotically, how does the driver not fall asleep to this heavenly music? click, click, wipe, wipe, click, whir, clack, blink, blink, blink, blink…

Do you guys have a song or an album that rises strong feelings on you? Specifically romantic or sexual feelings.
I fell in love with this song and I always listen to it when I fap. Why?
Its a love song but unlike other pop/rock love songs it isn't soft or innocent, it has a strong energy and lyrics that aren't too subtle or too obvious about their meaning and it really summons that desire to make to bodies into one, not just have sex but make love. You get what I mean.
I don't know about other songs that balance the sexual desire with the romantic emotion so well, pop/rock love songs are always too tender and I do know lots of funk songs with sexual content but none that is a plain love song or that balances both feelings.
To make my point across I should compare The Kinfe's original with the Jose Gonzalez's cover: Gonzales strips the songs of that energy I like making it like all other love songs that do nothing for me, its just a song about love and not a real feeling of love.
