I've been here since 2017. But sadly lost track of things during the most of 2019. But I have returned the comfy Dreamchan that I love. Hopefully things will stay calm and tame as well. But to see this place have daily activity is also pretty nice.

Someone posted the board on 4/v/ a couple weeks ago, which is why I came around. I don't think anyone else did though.

I feel like the boards here are very specific. You can talk about dreams, health, good feelings, music, nostalgia, scary stuff, and birds. Those are all really restrictive subjects.
i'm not saying do a general board or anything, (we all know what that leads to,) but it might be nice to have broader boards.

I get your point, but so far I think /gf/ really makes up for any missed topic board. As long as you talk about whatever you want in a relaxed context, it goes. I spoke to Duck over DM on twitter once and he said that in the almost 3 and a half years he has only deleted a handful of posts, 95% of those being spam/illegal, only a couple of those being trolling jerks

I've recently found this site and all I can think is to ask why it doesn't have more boards. they all seem really limited and niche. A philosophy/humanity board or something in that vein would be particularly nice.

And /bm/ right now is a good choice for the discussion of humanities. I really do not police these boards for strict adherence, if there is good, comfy discussion that is semi-related to the board's topic, I'm fine with it.

Hey all, I have a bit of unfortunate news.
In the past couple of hours, we received a heavy influx of spam on /dr/, /gf/, and /nos/.
The spam was in the order of ~300 posts, seemingly originating from Hispachan users. I have been friendly with Hispachan since the inception of Dreamchan, so why this was done is a little baffling but these things just go with operating an imageboard.

The casualty in all this is while cleaning up the extensive, interwoven spam, all of the posts on /dr/ were deleted accidentally, along with accompanying images and thumbnails. I was able to restore ~600 posts without images, so those are back up at this time (about half of the original amount) After doing my best to fix this, I immediately tweaked how backups are performed and saved. Going forward we should not lose more than 2 days posts at a time (which given the speed of the site should be fine, I will adjust this as needed) My sincerest apologies for those who had their posts removed, there were certainly some beautiful dreams and sentiments there.

I do know that you all will continue to have lovely dreams and aspirations, so I imagine we have a promising future of /dr/ content to look forward to. <3

Why have you banned Tor posting? And can you allow it? I think it's good practice to always post on imageboards from Tor, and I usually do so. It's a huge nuisance to be banned from using your imageboard when I've done nothing wrong, and it's really comfy here.

To be honest, I never explicitly banned it.

The default configuration of the Tinyboard software is to add tor exit nodes to its DNS blacklist. I don't use tor myself, nor have I been approached about it until now, so I guess I haven't given it thought.

I've gone ahead and updated the blacklist to allow tor nodes, can you go ahead and try it now and tell me how it works? I'll help troubleshoot what I can.
