I really liked the new Blade Runner.
Much different feel than the old one but still was good.

Just saw star wars the force awakens for the first time
It was meh imo. Visuals were fantastic it looked amazing but thats the only real thing it had going for it. Im pretty nitpicky and there were so many asspulls in this movie it just really bothered me. It was probably just as bad in all the other films too but I was younger and didnt care then. Characters were pretty forgetable and the plot seemed a rehash of the other movies- it didnt bring anythig new to the table just a bunch of fanservice and headnods to feed everyones nostalgia. Gonna watch Rogue One tomorrow- hopefully it will be better.

alright so Rogue One was fucking awesome.
I was already spoiled on the ending but it still made me feel
My biggest problem was the young Leia at the end, the CG was so uncanny with her it just killed the moment. Other than that and a few other bullshit moments I really enjoyed this movie.

>>978rogue one>episode 7
The problem I had with episode seven was that we saw a bunch of cool stories through the eyes of a bad one. I mean we had the escaped storm trooper and his bro pilot. That could have been an entire movie on its own, but instead we have to sit with the mary sue protagonist. Rogue One on the other hand was badass 1960's combat in space.

Just got back from the theaters
Holy shit this movie was so fucking bad…
I had low expectations going in from how I felt about the force awakens but my god I never expected it to be this awful
I can't even put it into words all the shit wrong with this movie but it's worse than the prequels, far far worse.
The plot was not advanced a single iota, Characters are just even more forgettable and one dimensional (although kylo had a few good moments imo) movie was longer than my dick holy shit and 90% of it was filler, they try to hint at stuff that might have potential to be cool and interesting then reveal it was a big nothingburger rey's parents being complete nobodies?
they kept hinting that that was a super big reveal and they're just random nobodies, so much inane bullshit happened i couldnt even process it leia survives in space and flies around like goku because the force i guess, poe singlehandedly neutralizes a ship 3 times the size of a star destroyer, etc, shitty one liners galore- disney focus groups gotta have that comic relief
again the only positive was the visuals, it looked great- especially the planet at the end, but by that point I was so over it. also the one really cool part wherekylo and rey were fighting the imperial guards, that shit was badass
also when admiral tumblrista kamikazed the frigate into the first order, it looked really cool but was fucking retarded. why do they even use lazers when you could just make empty ships and torpedo them into the enemy like that? and are we supposed to feel any type of way that she and rose died? are you serious?
fuck this movie
go watch it for yourself- pirate it though, don't give these fools a fucking dime.

Great film from the 80s
Starts off like your typical cliche action cop movie but it doesn't take long for you to realize that something is a tad bit off.
Give it a shot next time your don't know what to watch.

Its very obvious kojima drew inspiration for solid snake from this snake but i thought it was kinda funny since I played mgs first and knew nothing about this movie before I saw it
Also a lot of things sorta feel like something from the first deus ex so that was neat

Come and See by Elem Klimov
I don't have much technical language or film theory under my belt to describe why I like it, but it's just very good IMO. The suffering of the protagonist is conveyed to the viewer in a very immersive manner.

This will forever be my favourite movie. I love the music, the set and puppetry are beautiful, Jennifer Connolly and David Bowie are stunning, the costumes are gorgeous and the ballroom scene impresses me every single time I watch it. I've even considered naming my first daughter Sarah because I'm so in love with the character. It's so refreshing to see a young female character with such determination but also compassion. She's not shy and I love that.

I've watched the entirety of Twin through the last two months or so.
Some parts where kind of boring, but overall i really loved it, particulary the musical aspect of it, and i can feel myself getting obsessed with it.
What i appreciate the most is that it's motivating me to learn about things i would never investigate otherwise.
For example, i'm going to read The Tibetan Book Of The Dead, topic i previosly had zero interest on.

gf loves these classic tim burton movies, recently been watching a bunch of them with her. I like the music in all of them and the art and aesthetic of corpse bride and nightmare before christmas. Did not enjoy Sweeney Todd at all apart from the music. Beetlejuice was alright.
